Except for extremely small dogs, this harness fits most dogs under 20 pounds. If your dog is under 20 pounds, consider girth size of the dog’s chest. The harness can be adjusted to fit any dog with a chest size of 12 to 18 inches. The chest size is the rib cage just behind the dog's front legs.

The Pet Buckle® dog car safety harness includes the dog car safety harness and a Kwik-Connect Tether. Use just the harness and put the seat belt of your car through the loop on the back of the harness. Or use it with the Kwik-Connect Tether. The Kwik-Connect Tether latches onto the back of the harness and to the latch bar found between the seats of 2001 and newer model cars (pictured below). The Kwik-Connect Tether of the Pet Buckle dog car safety harness gives your dog more freedom to move around in the back seat and helps reduce the risk of your dog getting tangled in the dog car safety harness system. Be sure that the tether attaches to the harness rather than your dog's collar. The tether adjusts in length from about 12-20 inches.
