Size
This harness fits most dogs over 35 pounds with a girth between 25 and 40 inches around. Please note that there are some extremely large dogs which will not fit into the dog safety belt. It will fit a smaller dog but could be too heavy.

Usage
You can use just the harness and put the seat belt of your car through the loop on the back of the harness. Or use the Kwik-Connect Tether. One end of the tether clips onto the back of the harness and the other end to the Latch Bar between the seats of your car. The tether gives your dog more freedom to move around in the back seat and helps reduce the risk of your dog getting tangled in the harness system.

What is a Latch Bar?
The latch bar is a mechanism in all cars 2001 model and newer. It is a metal "ring" located between the seat cusions and is generally used to secure a baby car seat. The tether clips onto this latch bar. See an image of the latch bar below.

Safety Information
-Attach the Kwik-Connect Tether to the Pet Buckle® dog car safety harness rather than to your dog’s collar.
-If your harness or tether show signs of wear, replace at once.
-Do not leave your dog unattended in the vehicle. Even in mild temperatures and with windows down, your vehicle traps heat and can cause your pet to have a heat stroke or other heat-related problems.
-For the greatest safety, adjust the tether to the shortest length comfortable for your dog.
