-Fits dogs with a girth (chest) between 35 and 42 inches around.
-Tether adjuss from about 12 and 24 inches in length.
----The tether can be removed so you can use the harness part for walking.
----The buckle on the tether fits most seat belt housings but may not fit for vehicles older than 20 years, Volvos, Saabs, or some Ford Explorers. 
----For taller dogs, the 24 inch tether may cause the harness to slide slightly to the side. So long as the chest piece of the harness is fitted to your dog's chest, this will not affect the purpose of the Fairfield car harness for dogs which is to keep your pet restrained so that he is less likely to be a distraction to the driver.
